Welcome to Mrs. Brewer's Kindergarten!
Hi! My name is Annette Brewer. I teach Kindergarten full time at Lakeside. This is my 19th year at Lakeside Elementary and I love it. It is a wonderful school filled with great teachers, students and parents.
I am so excited to be a teacher. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a teacher. It began when I was 3-years-old. I would line up all of my dolls and stuffed animals on the stairs and teach them. My mom tells me that I would play like that for hours. I guess I was trying to get some training in early.
I was born and raised in Colorado. I spent most of my life in Grand Junction. When I graduated from high school I left home and headed to Rick's College in Rexburg, Idaho. I earned my Associates Degree in Arts and Sciences. Then I took a year off and moved to Utah to establish residency. I worked at a Day Care Center to earn money for a mission. I served a mission from 1995-1996 in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. I came home from Argentina to find that my family was moving to Utah three weeks later. I was happy about it since that's where I was going to be living. I moved to Logan and spent the next two years finishing my degree. I graduated from Utah State University with a double major of Early Childhood and Elementary Education with an emphasis in Spanish.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family. I have a great husband and an amazing daughter. I also enjoy spending time with my extended family. We love to camp, play games, sing, and talk, and talk, and talk. I enjoy swimming, volleyball, singing, playing the piano, scrapbooking, and watching old movies.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me!
