Join Davis Reads 45 this summer! Students are challenged to read for 45 days, earning prizes every 5 days and a special end-of-summer event for those who complete the challenge. Pick up books during summer library hours. Families should check with their local elementary school for specific days and times. What an amazing day yesterday! Our 6th graders officially graduated from elementary school with a graduation ceremony and a memorable clap-out around the track. We are so proud of each and every one of you as you move on to the next chapter!
The celebration didn't stop there—after the ceremony, our graduates headed to RUSH for an afternoon of well-deserved fun! 🎮🎳🍕 Foam pit, bowling, mini golf, and pizza made for the perfect way to mark this milestone.

Shadow Puppets in Action!
We had a fantastic day at Lakeside Elementary! Weber State University's Arts Learning Collaborative teamed up with Mrs. Szymanski’s 6th-grade drama class for a lesson on the art of shadow puppetry. It was inspiring to see these young artists bring stories to life through light and shadow.

Our Lakeside Decathlon Team competed yesterday. They did so awesome! They have worked hard the weeks leading up to it and it paid off yesterday. They competed in running, throwing, jump roping, push ups and lots more. It was so great to see them cheer each other on and have great team work. 4th grade team took 6th place. We're so proud of all of our decathlon athletes!
